PRIMITIVE FOLK ART POSIE WALL POCKET

Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to view my new Spring Offerings. This is a sweet Prim Spring Dried Floral Appliqued Wall Pocket that is my own design that measures 8" tall, 4" wide and 1" deep.

The pocket was cut from periwinkle blue felt and was blanket stitched by hand with burgundy embroidery floss around all edges.
Colorful florals were cut from burgundy, pink and blue felt and blanket stitched onto the pocket with white embroidery floss.
Green floss is hand embroidered for the stems and leaves. The tulip and the smaller flowers have yellow french knot centers and the large pink posie has a tiny white button center. "Posies" is embroidered with back stitching in burgundy floss.

Various matching dried florals fill the wall pocket in blue, burgundy, pinks, white and green. The hanger is a loop formed with natural jute twine.

PRIM VINTAGE STYLE OLD RAGGEDY ANN ART DOLL

Here we have A Primitive Folk Art Raggedy Ann Doll. This piece would be the perfect display for your sitting on a bench or chair or on a bed. She measures 21" tall and 12" wide and 5" deep.

I have created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it a time-worn look. Annie's round sectional head and body is sewn from muslin, stuffed tightly and stained with a coffee-vanilla solution. Her hands are needle-sculpted with separated fingers and her arms are wired and poseable. I have hand-stitched her smile with prim stitches in black and red floss for her lips. Satin stitch was used to form her traditional triangle nose with red floss. Her eyes feature those wonderful uplifted eye lids with painted eyes and shading with artist pencils. I have used black floss to stitch on her eye lashes and I have blushed her cheeks. For her hair, I have hand-stitched each piece of Raggedy Red thick craft yarn and untwisted each curl for fullness.

Annie's empire waist dress is sewn from a olde vintage cotton fabric printed with Raggedy Ann, Raggedy Andy, apple trees and red wagons that I have aged in a coffee-vanilla stain. I have used a coordinating red and cream homespun gingham check for her hair bow and for her bloomers. Jumbo red rick rack is top-stitched trimming her bloomers, sleeves and dress hem. Her Raggedy red striped socks were painted on, along with her black Mary Jane shoes. I used tiny antique mother of pearl buttons for her shoe buckles.

She holds a little spool doll made with miniature wooden spools and beads with red hair and straw hat. She is dressed in green & red heart fabric and She is holding a red heart that says "#1 Mom.

This piece has been lovingly hand-made by me from a basic doll pattern created by Sweet Meadows Farm while adding my own embellishments.

"History of the American Flag"

Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Americana Patriotic Offerings. Here we have a set of NINE Primitive Grungy Olde Americana Flags and Prim Star Bowl Fillers. They would display nicely as a gathering in a basket, tureen, or wooden bowl as shown. Each flag measures 4.5" wide and 2.5" tall and each star measures 5" wide and 5" tall.I have created this gathering in the primitive fashion to give them that olde time-worn look with lots of aging and grunging. Each ornie is sewn from a muslin, stuffed with fiberfill, painted, sanded and stained with a grungy solution of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon and baked again.The Primitive Stars were paint-washed in yellow ochre and the Prim Flags were painted Navy Blue, Antique White, and Barn Red.I have painted each of the six flags differently with a varied star design from each Era in the History of America: Betsy Ross Flag, 13 star Flag, Bennington Flag, Fort Independence Flag, Revolutionary Flag, and finally, today's American Flag. Each flag is labeled on the back with their names Prim-printed in pigma pen on torn, aged muslin and prim-stitched over Americana homespun plaid fabric with ecru floss. I have given this gathering a primitive tag aged with the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon stain topped with a nostalgic print of a vintage greeting card that says, "July 4th 1776". PRIM CUPBOARD SHEEP ART DOLL

Here we have a Primitive Wooly Cupboard Sheep Art Doll. She measures 7" tall and 10" wide and 5" deep. She is sure to be a favorite cupboard tuck or shelf sitter in your farmhouse kitchen.

I have created this piece in a primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. I have sewn the sheep's soft sculptured body from muslin with separate stitched on ears, and legs. I have paint-washed the face ears and hooves with black acrylic and painted on the eyes with artist pencil shading for the heavy eyelids. Ivory Raw sheeps wool was needle felted in place over her body. A small tail was made with a strand of sheeps wool and needle felted in place. I always use a thin layer of glue to adhere the wool in addition to the needle felting for added strength. The harness is made from rusty tin star garland circled around her neck.

I have given this piece a Prim Tag that has been stained in a Coffee-vanilla-cinnamon solution and baked. I have adhered a nostalgic image of a vintage postcard showing three vintage girls all dressed up with their three lambs also decorated for Easter. I have bordered the image with clear coarse German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle. It is attached to the sheep with a rusty safety pin.

This piece was lovingly handmade by me using a pattern designed by R&K Creations.

PRIM GRUNGY GARDEN DAFFODILS

Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Spring Offerings. Here we have 5 Primitive Folk Art Grungy Daffodils. This arrangement would display nicely as a centerpiece, shelf sitter, or placed on a bureau, table or halltree. Each bloom measures approximately 9-12" tall and 4-5"wide. They would look great in your country farmhouse and would also make a wonderful house-warming gift that is everlasting.

I have created this floral piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. Each daffodil is cut from muslin and hand-stitched with a gathered circle center surrounded by blooming pointed petals. They have been paint-washed in buttercup yellow paint and aged with my grubby solution of coffee-vanilla-cinnamon, baked and sprinkled with dry cinnamon. Each long stem is formed with twisted rusty tin wire and the tightly curled end sprouts from the center of the daffodil. The glass vase is not included in the auction. I can imagine these blooms arranged in your rusty tin, green glass or quilted container.

PRIMITIVE SHABBY CHIC VINTAGE LINENS ANGEL DOLL

Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to visit my New Shabby Chic Offerings. This is my Primitive Shabby Vintage Keepsake Linen Angel that I have fondly named "Abbey". She is completely designed and handmade by me with very special attention to detail and design. She measures 11" long and 7" wide.

For that extra special touch, I have used a vintage linen tea towel for her gown. This one-of-a kind design features a soft white linen with ornately embroidered pastel floral and cutwork designs. I have carefully pieced the tea towel to form a full length gown with a gathered neckline using pink pearl cording.

Her head and arms are sewn from pink cotton and her cheeks are blushed. Her primitive eyes are black dip-dot paint, and the sparkle on her cheeks is antique white paint. I have drawn her eyelashes and brows with a fine tipped black pigma pen. Her hair features the finest mohair white yarn that I have gathered into loops and tied in the center. Her halo is made of gold ming wire for a dainty look. Her arms are knotted as if she were praying.

Her stiffened quilted wings are cut from the remnant of an antique, hand-stitched cutter quilt. She hangs on the wall by way of a loop at the back of her head or she is sittable and can also be used as a tuck.

I have give her a primitive hang tag that I aged in a coffee-vanilla stain and adhered an image of single yellow Victorian rose that I have bordered with clear German Glass Glitter to give it a bit of sparkle.

She will be perfect for your display of collectible angels, and year round in your Shabby Chic Cottage, Victorian or Country home. She would also be proud to be displayed as a Guardian Angel in your baby's nursery or your child's room.

PRIMITIVE GARDEN BUNNY DOLL TRIO

Welcome Prim Friends and thank you for stopping by to visit my new Spring offerings. Here we have a Primitive Garden Bunny Trio. This piece measures 13" tall and 12" wide and 5" deep and is sure to be a Spring Garden favorite!

I have created this piece in a primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look with an aging process. I have sewn the three attached soft-sculptured bodies from muslin, dyed them with a coffee-vanilla stain, stuffed them tightly with a weighted base, and separate arms and floppy ears sewn to their bodies. Their faces were each hand stitched with embroidery floss and I have blushed their cheeks and ears. Along the bottom I have embroidered the saying "Joy in the Harvest of Friendships" with brown floss.

Each bunny is dressed differently. The left bunny has a jacket sewn from mint green flannel and sports a straw gardening hat. She is carrying a terra cotta wooden flower pot blooming with colorful dried florals and holds a grapevine twig heart in her hands. The middle bunny is wearing a ruffled dress sewn from an orange calico leaf print with a matching gingham bow on her head. She is carrying a brown wicker basket filled with colorful garden vegetables. The right bunny is wearing a jacket sewn from golden wool felt with a green homespun bow at the neckline and she also sports a straw gardening hat. In her arms, she is holding a little boy bunny dressed in a green checkered shirt and gold gingham pants. His face is embroidered with floss and his ears and cheeks are blushed.

I have given this piece a Prim hang tag that I stained in the coffee-vanilla-cinnamon stain, baked and adhered a nostalgic vintage image of a dressed up Easter Bunny walking down a trail carrying a basket of colorful Easter Eggs and pulling a cart with more eggs that says "Easter Greetings"......so that you can display this piece at Easter time as well as year round. I have bordered the image with Clear German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle. It is pinned to her sleeve with a rusty safety pin. This piece was lovingly handmade by me from a pattern created by Bunny Hugs Primitives. It will come to you signed, dated and tagged with my own label.

PRIMITIVE SOFT SCULPTURED BUNNY ON WHEELS

This is a sweet Prim Sculpted Bunny Doll I have fondly named "Bunny on Wheels" and she measures 9" tall, 10" wide and 4" deep.

Her soft sculptured body is sewn in pieced sections from grey plush felt and stuffed tightly. I have hand-embroidered the cross stitches on her back, and the stitches on her nose, mouth and paws with navy blue floss. I have given her shiney black beads for her eyes. The wheels are made from unfinished wood that I have painted a dark country red. The front spoked wheel is placed on a dowel that is adhered to her front feet. Her back feet rest on a wooden dowel that supports the tiny red wheels attached with unfinished wooden caps. Around her neck I have tied a big bow torn from a navy blue flannel homespun.

I have given this piece a Prim hang tag aged in my grungy solution of coffee, vanilla & cinnamon, and then baked. A nostalgic image from a vintage postcard was adhered to the tag in an oval shape and bordered with fine clear German Glass Glitter for a bit of sparkle. I have pinned the tag to her bow with a rusty safety pin. This piece would make the perfect gift for the Bunny Collector or as a shelf sitter anywhere in your country home.

Welcome Prim Friends, and thank you for stopping by to view my new Hand Crafted Offerings. Here we have a primitive set which includes a large Primitive Folk Art Doll with her vintage-style Heirloom Teddy Bear that I have fondly named "Bedtime Belinda". This piece measures 36" tall and 10" wide and would be perfect to display in a wooden rocking chair, or sitting on your bed or your couch.

I have created this piece in the primitive fashion to give it that time-worn look. Belinda is a one-of-a-kind, original design, as I did not use a pattern to make her. Her multi-sectional round-head body is sewn from muslin, stuffed tightly and stained with a coffee-vanilla aging solution. For her facial features, I have pinch-stitched her nose and brows, painted on her big brown eyes and red lips and outlined them with Pigma artist pencils in brown followed with a matte sealing. Her fingers are narrow and needle-sculpted and her narrow legs and pointed feet are this dainty style too. I have used lots of chestnut dyed sheeps wool curls needle-felted in place for her hair. Her Mary Jane shoes have been paint-washed in black, baked, stained and sanded. I have used tiny antique Mother of Pearl buttons for her shoe buckles.Belinda is dressed in a genuine vintage antique baby's gown featuring fine batiste that I have salvaged just for this purpose. Very detailed rows of embroidered french knots, pintuck pleating make up the front of the dress with tiny batiste-covered buttons running down the front. Fine vintage French lace edging trims the neckline and the sleeves. This dress has all the signs of years and years of aging with tiny worn places which just add to the beauty of this dress. I have dipped it in the coffee-vanilla solution to give it the nice warm brown tones and hand-gathered it at the back neckline to fit the doll.

She is holding a soft-sculpture jointed Vintage-style Heirloom Bear that I have created from brown Shaggy Felt with hand-stitched tiny black beads for eyes and a black floss nose. Tied around his neck, I have used cheese cloth for his scarf which I aged in a coffee-vanilla-cinnamon stain. I added a stained round tag marked "1708" and a rusty tin bell attached with a rusty safety pin to his chest.

I have given her a Prim Tag stained in the coffee-vanilla mixture and topped it with a nostalgic vintage image of a little Victorian girl bordered in rosey toile and a rose pink bow. I attached it with a rusty safety pin to the lace on the sleeves. The bear design was lovingly hand-made by me with the inspiration from a pattern created by Sweet Meadows Farm.
